Llar D'infants Casa Pedemonte

The Escola Bressol Municipal Casa Pedemonte is a publicly owned center located in Sant Andreu de la Barca. It welcomes children from 0 to 3 years old, corresponding to the first cycle of early childhood education, and presents itself as a space that supports children and their families in a broad, diverse, plural, and competent educational and nurturing context. The working language is Catalan.

Its pedagogical practice is based on the preparation of quality spaces and materials and in a rich stimulating environment, where children's play and movement find appropriate resources for their development. The center understands that all moments of the day are educational and hold great value. It also aims to be a space for socialization and coexistence, for the transmission of values and the management of emotions, aspects that it considers especially important at these early ages. Respect, active listening, observation, children's interests, daily life, play, and small projects are the elements that bring the school to life. The role of the educator focuses on accompanying these processes, with an educational task based on observation, trust, security, and empathy, to respond to each child's needs. All these proposals are understood as linked to the participation and cooperation of families, in order to share a path and common goals for the well-being and upbringing of children.

The school has 74 children organized into several groups: the baby group from 4 months, two groups of 1 to 2 years, and two groups of 2 to 3 years. Each group has a tutor and the support of an educator per level, with a total of nine professionals carrying out the educational project of the center.
