Escola Catalunya

Escola Catalunya is a public center in Sant Adrià de Besòs. It offers early childhood education, with first and second cycles, and primary education, working in Catalan and Spanish. It organizes its students into small, medium, and large groups, and among its facilities includes a hallway, hall, and playground.

The center offers a school cafeteria service, uses the Classroom platform, and has a parent association (AFA). It publishes the school calendar and letters at the start of the school year addressed to families of early childhood and primary education.

In the day-to-day activities of the center, various activities and projects are developed. It celebrates the diada de Sant Jordi with the awarding of prizes for the Juegos Florales, and the second-grade students prepare the cantata in music classes. It participates in the English Day along with other schools in Sant Adrià, in the school Olympic Games, and in the Milla de la Mina, and has taken part for the first time in the Cangur math tests with fifth and sixth-grade students. It also organizes outings, such as visits to the Font de la Mina library or to the parish of Sant Joan Baptista, and the third-grade students work on staging a play. Within the Infadimed program, a nurse from the CAP conducts sessions on nutrition and healthy habits in early childhood classes.
