Escola Les Arrels

Escola Les Arrels is a public center in Salt that offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. Its methodological approach is broad and relies on thematic classrooms, projects, and flexible groupings, present in both the Early Childhood and Primary stages. In Early Childhood Education, the development of students' abilities is favored so that they grow in an integral way, with continuous and progressive learning based on routines, thematic classroom work, and workshops. In Primary Education, learning is comprehensive and functional, with students as the protagonists of their process, through close, creative, and motivating activities, various resources, and different types of groupings that cater to diverse work rhythms.

Among the projects that define the center are the digital plan of the center, the school radio Ràdio S'cool, learning and service, the library, Estima Salt!, school theater, and the student council. Initiatives such as "Apadrinem escultures", the reading buddy program — where older students help younger ones with literacy — workshops with families once a term, and interschool projects are also carried out. The center celebrates the Juegos Florales and keeps the school radio active with interviews and programs throughout the courses.

The teaching team works on values such as multilingualism, with Catalan as the vehicular and learning language and the teaching of Spanish and English defined in its linguistic project, as well as inclusion, cohesion, and equality, understanding difference as a positive factor and seeking a response tailored to the needs of all students. The center has a school canteen service, extracurricular activities, and a family association (AFA).
