Institut Abat Oliba

Institut Abat Oliba is a public educational center in Ripoll, in the Ripollès region, with a commitment to its territory. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18) — with the batxibac modality — vocational training (FP) at intermediate and higher levels, sports education, and an auxiliary office activities and general administrative services PFI. Among the sports education offerings, there are specialties in winter sports, mountain sports, and climbing, with specific access tests. The center has a reception classroom.

The center defines itself as inclusive, secular, and respectful of all cultures and ideologies within the framework of democratic coexistence, promoting tolerance, freedom, responsibility, dialogue, and respect for the common environment. Its project places the participation of the educational community — families and students — as part of the center's progress, proposing an open school to the environment in which civil society collaborates and gets involved. Inclusion is concretized in universal measures for all learning rhythms, with flexible and heterogeneous environments and personalized and multi-level learning paths under the framework of Universal Design for Learning. It also promotes transversal competencies such as autonomy, initiative, personal creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.

Its quality policy is based on the ISO 9001 standard and is applied to students of ESO, Bachillerato, vocational training, and sports education. The center aims to be an integrating element within the territory, understood as a pole of social and cultural progress, and seeks to maximize students' opportunities for their professional and personal future.
