CEIP ADÁN DEL CASTILLO

CEIP Adán del Castillo is a public school located in Tamaraceite, in the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years). The school's AMPA initiates early reception and late collection services to facilitate the reconciliation of family and work life for families.

The school develops its activities around several lines of work. From the Heritage area, it brings students closer to the knowledge and appreciation of people, stories, and events in the environment, with activities about the figure of Adán del Castillo, native Canarian sports, traditions such as Carnival, and environmental care. The school participates in the Fruit and Vegetable Plan and works on robotics and computational thinking in the classroom. Joint activities are also organized between different areas, such as those carried out by 2nd-grade students between Artistic Education and Environmental Knowledge, and outings to local spaces, such as the visit of the first cycle of Primary to the Botanical Garden. The celebration of the Day of the Canary Islands is held with a day of coexistence in which students and their families participate.
