Virgen De La Encina

Virgen de la Encina is a private secular school with Christian roots that inspire its educational project. Its educational work began in Móstoles in the 1970s, and the school was founded in 1989 in Urbanización Calypo-Fado, in Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo). It currently educates students from early childhood education to Bachillerato, including early childhood education (first cycle 0-3 and second cycle 3-6), primary education, compulsory secondary education, and Bachillerato.

The center's project is oriented towards the comprehensive education of students, combining theoretical and practical training, intellectual habits, and a culture of effort, in order to prepare students for their future studies and professional careers. The values education includes respect for fundamental rights, duties, and freedoms, the responsible exercise of freedom, coexistence, solidarity, service to others, and commitment to justice and peace. In early childhood education, discovery learning is encouraged; in primary education, basic learning is consolidated by promoting curiosity, effort, and autonomy; in secondary education, critical thinking is developed, and personal and academic growth is supported; and Bachillerato prepares students for access to higher education. The center promotes active methodologies and educational innovation, with dynamic learning based on participation, technology, and critical thinking. It also promotes language learning and international projection from an early age, with programs abroad in collaboration with European Idiomas.

Regarding services and facilities, it has a library, cafeteria, gym, playground, children's park, school transport, and extracurricular activities, offering classes in Spanish and English. For communication with families and academic monitoring, it uses the Alexia platform. The academic environment is characterized by closeness and trust among students, families, and staff, prioritizing naturalness in daily activities.
