Liceo Villa Fontana

Liceo Villa Fontana is a private bilingual school located in Móstoles, in a well-connected area by the A-5, M-50, and R-5, and close to Fuenlabrada and Alcorcón. It serves students from 3 months to Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), covering early childhood education (0-3 years), early childhood education, primary education, secondary education, and Bachillerato. The school has over 950 students, a ratio of 12:1, and more than 50 years of experience. According to its data, 100% of students who complete Bachillerato access university, and 9 out of 10 students who start at the school finish this stage. The educational project emphasizes real English learning: it is introduced in early childhood education and early childhood education with half of the day taught in this language. In primary education, 10 to 12 hours per week are dedicated to English, and French is introduced with native teachers. In secondary education and Bachillerato, teaching continues in English and prepares for the EBAU and university, with two modalities and three itineraries. The school applies methodologies such as Oxford Bright Futures® in early childhood education and Kagan Cooperative Learning® in primary and secondary education, and uses Smart Technologies® digital screens and Snappet® tablets in primary education. Students can undertake five-week stays in Ireland and take exams from Trinity College.

The facilities include a heated swimming pool with integrated swimming classes in physical education, water polo, and competitive swimming, sports fields for football and basketball, playgrounds by age groups, computer classrooms with iMac computers, interactive screens in classrooms, a library, a sports hall, a football field, an athletics track, a laboratory, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a school garden, a gym, a patio, and a playground. The early childhood education center was renovated in the summer of 2023. The school offers cafeteria services, school transport, extended hours (early risers), and extracurricular activities; in early childhood education, the hours are extended, and it opens during non-school periods. It has a guidance department, speech therapy, and daily medical attention. The school hours are from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The early childhood education (0-3 years) follows a project that stimulates learning and psychomotor development, with flexible hours, and is eligible for scholarships from the Community of Madrid for private centers. The school is defined as open-door and maintains daily contact with families.
