Manuel De Falla

IES Manuel de Falla is a public educational center in Móstoles that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato, with Spanish and English among its working languages. Its offerings include a curricular diversification program in 3rd and 4th year of ESO and also provides information about admission to vocational training (FP) programs.

The center develops an academic and professional guidance program aimed at students and families, with informational sessions on electives and pathways, academic and professional opportunities upon completing secondary education and Bachillerato, university entrance exams, vocational training, evaluation systems, promotion and certification in both stages, enrollment, and end-of-year organization. The guidance is complemented by periodic meetings between families and the center and a specific session on the transition from Primary to Secondary for families of 6th grade Primary. Additionally, ESO students participate in language immersion programs. The center also has a detection, psychoeducation, and self-help program involving students aged 12 to 17 and their families.

Among its activities, the center has the school radio Radio On Falla, which involves students and families and features podcasts, discussions, and interviews, such as one conducted by 2nd year ESO students with members of Doctors of the World as part of a study on Human Rights. It also organizes theater activities and an open house to showcase its facilities and educational project, and participates in the 4th ESO + Company program, which facilitates student internships in companies and institutions. Its students have won first prize in the English category of the Quizstory Contest of the Community of Madrid in two consecutive editions.
