Europa

IES Europa is a public educational center located in Móstoles that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with modalities in Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Its offerings are complemented by Diversification programs, PPME, and vocational training (FP), both Basic and Intermediate and Higher Level. The center has a library, sports hall, and laboratory, as well as a cafeteria service, and teaching is conducted in Spanish.

The institute develops various own projects. Among them, the Sembrando Futuro project, with which the Diversification students of 3rd and 4th ESO build an intelligent and inclusive garden, presented by two teachers at the Código Escuela 4.0 Conferences. It also participates in the CanSat competition, with a team that has built and launched a miniature satellite. In the field of inclusive technology and augmentative communication, the center disseminates experiences of students who communicate through eye gaze. Additionally, the Latin students participate in the epistolary exchange Commercium Epistolarum, and 3rd ESO students have taken part in the project El Archivo, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, researching the role of women in the rural world.

The Arts Bachillerato organizes exhibitions with creative proposals from students, and the center calls for competitions open to all students, such as the design contest for the school agenda cover.
