Benito Perez Galdos

CEIP Benito Pérez Galdós is a public school in Móstoles that offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (ages 3 to 6) and Primary Education (ages 6 to 12), with about 470 students organized into two classrooms per grade. It is named after the novelist, playwright, and chronicler Benito Pérez Galdós. Its facilities include a main building with three floors that houses the Primary classrooms, an independent pavilion for Early Childhood known as "Casitas," and an M4 pavilion where physical and sports activities take place. The school day is continuous, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and students have been required to wear school uniforms since 2011.

The educational project is based on teamwork among teachers and collaboration with families, aiming to develop students' creative capacity and critical spirit, with a school that is open to the environment and responsive to social, scientific, economic, and cultural changes. Coexistence is governed by the Internal Regulations, with habits based on order and mutual respect. In Early Childhood, attention is given to the developmental traits of the stage, with access to knowledge through play, manipulation, and interaction with the environment. In Primary Education, the cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development of students is supported, helping them gain autonomy and language mastery, laying the foundations for good self-esteem and self-concept.

The center offers a cafeteria service and extended hours: "Los Primeros del Cole," before classes start, and "Los Últimos del Cole," from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, both designed to meet the work needs of families. The AMPA, in collaboration with the school management, organizes activities such as dance, gymnastics, jazz, soccer, speech therapy, judo, or robotics.
