Escola La Fassina

Escola La Fassina is a public center located in Mediona that offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. The working languages are Spanish and Catalan, and the school presents itself under the motto "the school of smiles." The Primary stage is organized into initial cycle, middle cycle, and upper cycle.

The center organizes its work around active methodologies and project-based work. In Early Childhood Education, projects, environments, corners, symbolic play, routines, and story time are worked on. In Primary Education, project-based work and environments are maintained, and workshops in arts, analytical work in areas, reading, mathematical corners, systematic calculation, writing, and chess are incorporated.

The school also develops a set of its own projects and activities: tutorial action and emotional education, health education, physical education, and the Catalan Sports Plan in the school, book socialization, story pairs, reading promotion, workshops, intergenerational activities, recycling, the entrepreneurship project, and the 4 schools project, along with outings, complementary activities, parties, and celebrations. The library is presented as a central axis of the center. The school has an educational project, a linguistic project, a coexistence project, and a digital strategy for the center, and has its own spaces for the development of these activities.
