Escola Renaixença

Escola Renaixença is a public educational center located in Sant Pere Sacarrera, in the municipality of Mediona. It offers early childhood education, organized into initial, middle, and upper cycles, and primary education, which spans from P3 to sixth grade. The vehicular languages of the center are Spanish and Catalan.

Throughout the school year, the center develops various complementary activities. Among them are school outings, such as the one that brings together all classes from P3 to sixth grade in Sant Magí de la Brufaganya, and camps. Traditional festivities are also celebrated, such as Castañada, with the preparation of panellets and chocolates and autumn crafts, and Sant Jordi, with crafts, the representation of the legend, and the sale of roses and books. The center also organizes a cultural week and activities such as lip-dub. In the realm of the natural environment, talks by Rural Agents on forest fires, prevention, and animals have been held, along with the release of partridges in the vicinity of the school, and nature classroom sessions with the municipality's biologist, funded by the City Council, during which birdwatching and a project on swallow nests were conducted. The center has also received a visit from a writer as part of an author activity in the classrooms.

Escola Renaixença has its own school communication projects, such as its television channel, Renaixença Televisió, and a YouTube channel, along with the collaboration of the parents' association (AFA). The City Council of Mediona has taken charge of renewing the paint on the building's facade.
