Escola La Llàntia

Escola La Llàntia is a public school located in Mataró that offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, organized into initial, middle, and upper cycles. It has a library, sports hall, computer room, school cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities, and provides instruction in Spanish and Catalan. It also has a parents' association (AMPA).

This school year, the center has launched the LIC project (Language, Interculturality, and Social Cohesion), which aims to strengthen the ties between the school and its environment. Through this project, it promotes cultural, social, and recreational activities held in Mataró and encourages the participation of students and families, fostering a sense of belonging to the territory, coexistence, and knowledge of the cultural richness of the surroundings.

Throughout the year, students participate in outings and complementary activities, such as visits to the Cántir Museum, the Picasso Museum, or Mercabarna, and take part in sports meetings with other schools. As part of the school's health program, the so-called "health trip" takes students to visit other centers to work on healthy habits, and in the fifth grade, the Global Scholars project is developed with students from other countries. The center also proposes family challenges, such as "a time without screens," and organizes camps.
