Col·legi Salesià

The Col·legi Salesià is a school in Mataró that provides education from early childhood, primary, secondary, and high school to a vocational training cycle in sports. The school defines itself as a social initiative and places the student as the protagonist of their learning. The working languages are Spanish, Catalan, and English.

Its educational proposal is based on affection and trust, aiming to accompany students from the welcoming process to their integral development. It proposes active listening to the interests of students to adapt the support to their needs, with methodologies that seek their academic, emotional, and spiritual progress. The center focuses on emotional education, group cohesion, self-knowledge, and the identification of personal talent, and works with a team that promotes shared leadership and continuous training. It also applies active methodologies of play and leisure in all its spaces and offers activities for personal growth and volunteering.

Among its services are a school cafeteria, with a midday space that combines leisure, learning, and dietary habits, and extracurricular activities led by the teaching staff, which include sports, recreational, and educational support proposals. It organizes camps and summer campuses that bring together more than 600 children and young people, with its own swimming pool, overnight stays, and outings. In high school, it offers a dual diploma that allows students to improve their English through practice via the International Studies Academy program, so that at the end of the stage, students obtain a double certified qualification. The center participates in the Caixa Proinfància program with scholarships for academic success aimed at children and young people from families at risk of exclusion, and offers a faith growth itinerary to prepare for First Communion or Confirmation, as well as participation in Faith Groups.
