Institut Maria Canela

Institut Maria Canela is a public secondary education center in Martorell. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato, with Spanish and Catalan as languages. Its organization includes tutoring, departments, and coordination, and it has a welcoming classroom for students, in addition to various services. The center provides families and students with a Welcome Plan that includes information about the organization and functioning of the institute, communication channels, and available services.

The center has a website with documentation for families, a teacher's agenda, and a photo space, as well as a virtual store and a family association (AFA).

Throughout the school year, students participate in outings and activities outside the center: a multi-adventure stay in Planoles for 1st ESO, a graduation trip to Asturias for 4th ESO, and visits to the Martorell area. Service-learning projects and community service are developed, such as collaboration with the Projecte Rius on the Anoia River, and outings related to sustainability, such as a visit to Ecoparc 3. Students also participate in scientific dissemination fairs, such as the Fira del Coneixement in Berga, and in the School Crystallization Contest. The institute was the winner of the STREAMING program, promoted by Vueling and the Fundació Princesa de Girona, with a short film. Each graduating class of 4th ESO celebrates its graduation.
