Liceo Sorolla B

Liceo Sorolla B is a secular school in Madrid, located in the Puerta de Hierro and Barrio del Pilar area, which began its educational work in 1971. It started as a private school and over the years has become a semi-private center. Its offerings in the semi-private regime include Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, and Intermediate Vocational Training, including Microinformatics and Networks. High School and Higher Vocational Training are provided as private education.

The educational project of the center is based on participatory pedagogy, where students are the protagonists of their own learning, fostering their initiative and creativity. The training seeks a global human development in intellectual, emotional, and motor aspects, and the teaching system adapts to the learning conditions and needs of each student through continuous assessment throughout the academic year. The center pays special attention to foreign languages: students can study English, French, and German through experiential learning, and it has a bilingual program that includes the American Dual High School Diploma. Additionally, it promotes a climate of coexistence based on respect, tolerance, responsibility, and solidarity, and works to help students develop a critical and objective sense that allows them to make their own decisions.

Among its services are cafeteria, extracurricular activities, extended hours, guidance department, English academy, immersion trips, uniforms, and summer camp. In recent years, the center has been renewing its facilities and adapting them to current needs, with exclusive areas for each stage and classrooms and materials tailored to each of them.
