Escola Els Picots

Escola Els Picots is a public educational center in Lliçà d'Amunt that provides early childhood education (second cycle) and primary education. The center has a school cafeteria and a school library, the Pico Biblioteca, inaugurated on October 24 coinciding with World Library Day. It has a Parent-Teacher Association (AFA) that participates in school life and holds elections for its school council, the highest representative body of the center. The center holds an open house and the corresponding pre-registration and enrollment process.

Regarding projects, the school develops the Antoni Gaudí center project and participates in the El gust per la lectura program, as well as in the Cangur math tests with fifth and sixth-grade students. The second-grade children have carried out the Fem Pinya project in collaboration with the local association Peluts Lliçà, focused on respect and responsibility towards animals. The center also organizes a chess tournament.

Throughout the school year, various festivals and activities are celebrated: Carnival, whose commandments are of its own creation and are linked to the Antoni Gaudí school project; Sant Jordi, with a drawing contest; the 8M workshops; Santa Cecília, with the performance of instruments during the musical entry; and a winter concert. The sixth-grade students organize a solidarity walk in favor of La Marató.
