Institut Marina

Institut Marina is a public secondary education center located in La Llagosta. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP) programs at both intermediate and advanced levels. The vehicular language of the center is Catalan.

The ESO at the center is organized from first to fourth year and is based on the competency development of students, following the framework of the curriculum 175/2022. A distinctive feature is the dedication of two hours per week to project work, a methodology that seeks to promote autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful learning through real and transversal challenges. In fourth year of ESO, the elective offerings allow for the organization of educational pathways that help students orient their academic and professional future while maintaining a common foundation. The schedule for this stage is from 08:00 to 14:30, with a break from 11:00 to 11:30.

The center has measures for attention to diversity and educational inclusion, including tutorial action, SIEI, the Aquiproubullying program, the welcome classroom, UEC, and a curricular diversification project. The center also participates in projects such as Global Scholars, Erasmus+ (AnimatEarth), and collaborates with companies in training activities. Nearby public transport includes the Rodalies station of La Llagosta (R2) and several bus lines.
