Escola Les Planes

Escola Les Planes is a public center located in La Llagosta. It offers early childhood education, with its two cycles (0-3 and 3-6 years), and primary education. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and Catalan. The center organizes its project around the ideas of sharing, learning, and building, and has a parent association (AFA). At the beginning of the school year, it organizes meetings with families. Among its spaces and initiatives are a library and sections dedicated to projects and "mirades del món".

Throughout the year, students participate in various proposals. First and second graders have developed a theater workshop that culminates in the performance of a play. Fifth graders work on programming with LEGO Spike within the theme of machines and forces. Fifth grade celebrates English Day together with students from Escola Pau Vila in Parets del Vallès. Third, fourth, and sixth graders carry out a research project in the area of music focused on women composers. Second graders participate in the concert of La Clika, an educational project of Les Cases de la Música.

The center organizes outings and activities outside the classroom: visits to a farm and the zoo in early childhood education, and camps for these students. In early childhood education, psychomotricity sessions with various materials are also conducted. Other initiatives include an intercultural week with visits from entities and families, an introduction to Spiribol in third and fourth grades, multi-sport days in which groups from I5, second, fourth, and sixth participate, an adapted sports day in fifth grade, and collaborative art activities with families.
