Institut Celestí Bellera

Institut Celestí Bellera is a public center in Granollers that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) for students aged 12 to 16, as well as Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Its offerings are complemented by vocational training (FP) programs, training and insertion programs, and adult education, ensuring continuity across different educational stages. In Bachillerato, it features an artistic modality and the Batxibac program, along with STEAM projects.

In ESO, active methodologies are applied that place students at the center of their learning through challenges and projects, with a personalized and experiential approach. The center develops an artistic project that works on creative processes through languages such as Big Band, body movement, performing arts, and audiovisual culture, as well as a multilingual project that teaches English and French as foreign languages from the first year of ESO, with the possibility of taking non-linguistic subjects in those languages. Furthermore, international Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects are carried out in both ESO and Bachillerato, with exchanges and stays in other European countries, and the center has Erasmus accreditation. The tutorial action incorporates emotional education and self-awareness, and personal and digital competencies and values are worked on through media culture, co-education, and critical thinking.

Student participation is organized through the Delegates Council, Ecodelegates, and the co-education and mediation committee. The center organizes the stage with project and workshop blocks, community service, and third year of ESO in the afternoon, in addition to having an educational commitment letter. Regarding the organization of spaces, first and second years of ESO have two playgrounds, while third and fourth years have one, with sports activities in the playground. The center participates in initiatives such as the Pica Lletres contest and the Art + Escola project, and maintains its own digital communication channels with the educational community.
