Escola Joan Solans

Escola Joan Solans is a public school for early childhood and primary education in Granollers. It offers the second cycle of early childhood education, with levels I3, I4, and I5, and the complete primary stage from first to sixth grade. The vehicular languages of the center are Catalan and Spanish. It provides a school cafeteria service, after-school care, and extracurricular activities, and has an AMPA. The center is located in Granollers, near the Granollers Centre commuter train station and with bus stops nearby.

The educational project includes an Erasmus+ program, a reading promotion initiative, a school radio, and handball activities, as well as its own digital strategy. Fifth-grade students participate in school cooperatives. Throughout the year, outings and camps are organized, such as the stay at the Artur Martorell colony house in Calafell, which involves students from second, fourth, and sixth grades.

Among the complementary activities are workshops on healthy eating, such as the one conducted for first graders by a nurse from CAP Sant Miquel, where they work on the Harvard plate; table tennis sessions with the Club Tennis Taula Granollers for sixth-grade students; and proposals around the Sant Jordi festival, including the creation of texts such as rhymes, acrostics, calligrams, legends, and comics.
