Kakelita Reggio

Kakelita Reggio is a private preschool located in Getafe. Its educational project is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and sees the child as the protagonist of their own learning, while the educator acts as a figure who observes, listens, and accompanies. The school supports children in their early years with respect, listening, and trust in their abilities, and caters to the Early Childhood Education stage (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years).

The educational proposal is organized around various experiences. The Nido Classroom is a calm and safe environment that encourages free movement, autonomous play, and bonding, incorporating principles from Emmi Pikler and emphasizing autonomy and respect for individual timing. Psychomotricity allows children to discover the possibilities of their bodies through movement, play, and interaction with others, developing balance and coordination. The atelier is the space dedicated to creativity, research, and experimentation with different materials, textures, shapes, and techniques, where the process is what matters, not a specific outcome. The pedagogy of listening guides the team's work, which addresses the ideas, questions, emotions, and interests of each child so they can explore and build their own learning. The center also attends to the hundred languages of the child, offering opportunities to express themselves through play, movement, words, drawing, music, construction, or experimentation.

The school pays special attention to the environments and considers space as a third educator, with welcoming, open, and stimulating settings, prepared with materials that invite discovery, experimentation, and interaction.
