Torres Quevedo

CEIP Torres Quevedo is a public educational center located in Coslada. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years) and Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years). Spanish is the main language of instruction, and English is also part of the curriculum. The school provides a cafeteria service and extracurricular activities for its students.

The school has a Virtual Classroom and an informative website aimed at the entire school community, as well as a virtual library. It maintains a ban on the use of mobile phones on its premises, applies a protocol during heat waves, and participates in the Regional Plan against drugs of the Community of Madrid. It has an Ampa and has a nurse who conducts first aid and resuscitation workshops for students. Among the initiatives related to coexistence and healthy habits are healthy breakfasts and the decoration of the so-called friendship bench by the Early Childhood students.

Throughout the school year, various activities and celebrations take place, such as carnival, school Olympics, San Isidro, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and Universal Children's Day, in addition to an art workshop and unplugged play proposals. The extracurricular radio activity Onda Torres contributes to the development of students' linguistic, communicative, and social skills. The center also organizes excursions and outings, such as a trip to the snow and visits to institutions, and offers families a virtual tour of the school and informational materials about the admission process.
