Menendez Pidal

CEIP Menéndez Pidal is a public school in Coslada that provides Early Childhood and Primary Education. It is recognized as a preferred center for students with motor difficulties and aims to provide comprehensive education to all its students. It implemented the bilingual project in the 2005/2006 school year and since the 2017/2018 school year has applied cooperative learning, after two years of teacher training. The center presents itself as a dynamic school committed to students and their families.

In terms of services, it has a cafeteria with its own kitchen and menus prepared on-site, where around 300 students eat daily. It offers a morning reception service, known as "los primeros del cole," to facilitate the reconciliation of family and work life, and extended hours in June and September. Outside of school hours, extracurricular activities are offered by the Coslada City Council and the AMPA, in addition to a handball activity from the municipal sports board. The school hours are from 09:00 to 14:00.

Among its projects are the use of new technologies, the Radio Menéndez program, an educational activity in the area of Audition and Language, the project "Our Professions: Families in the Classroom," the school garden, and jolly phonics in the Early Childhood stage. Its facilities include a nurse's office, music room, religious education room, physiotherapy room, gym, library, playground, cafeteria, Early Childhood and Primary classrooms, computer room, and auditorium.
