Montessori Village

Montessori Village Colmenar is a private early childhood education center located in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid, for children aged 0 to 3 years. Its project is based on Montessori pedagogy, a method that promotes the child's ability to choose, self-learning, freedom, autonomy, and self-criticism. It offers Nido programs for babies from 0 to 18 months and Comunidad Infantil for children from 18 to 36 months, as well as a Summer Camp. The school is bilingual in English and has a high volume of international families. It is defined as a family-oriented and close-knit school, where school and family together support early childhood.

The team consists of certified Montessori guides and assistants, specialists in this pedagogy, trained in Positive Discipline and emotional management, as well as being specialized in early attention and having a psychologist. Following the standards of the Montessori philosophy, students have a minimum of two references — guide and assistant — with ratios of 1:5 in Nido and 1:10 in Comunidad Infantil.

The school hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM, with the possibility of extending from 8 AM to 5 PM. The center opens during the month of July and remains closed for the first two weeks of August. It has its own kitchen and prepares healthy daily menus, free from sugars, fried foods, or processed items, with vegetables and fruits and olive oil in all preparations, personalized to accommodate allergies and intolerances. It complements its offerings with a dining service, school transport, extracurricular activities, workshops, extracurricular programming, and a training program aimed at families.
