Zurbaran

Colegio Zurbarán is a semi-private school located in Colmenar Viejo that offers early childhood education (first cycle, 0-3 years, and second cycle, 3-6 years), primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Among its facilities, it has a library. Instruction is conducted in Spanish, English, and French.

The school prepares its students for external language exams and publishes the results obtained. In 2025, all students presented for the Cambridge exams in 4th grade (Movers/Flyers) and in 6th grade (KET/PET) passed, while in 4th year of ESO (PET/First/Advanced) 96% passed; those in 1st year of Bachillerato examined for the DELF from the French Institute also passed entirely. In the EVAU of 2025, 93% of the students presented were deemed suitable, with an average access score of 7.3. The school also reports on the external diagnostic tests conducted by the Community of Madrid in 4th and 6th grades of primary education and 2nd and 4th years of ESO, as well as the English certification tests.

Regarding services, the school has a cafeteria, for which it publishes the weekly menu, and has an AMPA. For the 26-27 school year, it offers extracurricular activities including textile workshop, archery, and handball. It manages the reservation and purchase of textbooks through direct distribution and refunds 10% of the amount in credit for school supplies, in addition to providing information about the ACCEDE book loan program from the Community of Madrid. It also organizes a summer camp and a ski trip.
