Colorines

Colorines is a private nursery school in Colmenar Viejo, authorized by the Ministry of Education of the Community of Madrid. It caters to the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, for ages 0 to 3, in Spanish and English, and offers meals and extracurricular activities. The teaching team has experience in early childhood education and Family Medicine, and the center has a psychopedagogy office and family counseling.

The educational project is oriented towards the integral development of children. Among its objectives are to accompany them in the development of movement and body control, to attend to their first manifestations of communication and language, and to help them acquire basic patterns of coexistence and social relationships. It also seeks to stimulate their sensory, emotional, and intellectual capacities, promote healthy habits that enhance their autonomy and security, and boost their creativity, interest, and curiosity to discover the environment.

The center is open all year round, from 07:00 to 19:00, with school hours from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. It has four classrooms (0-12 months, 12-24 months, and 24 months and older) and a multipurpose room of 60 square meters; all are external and have large windows that provide natural light. It has an outdoor playground for recreation and rest. Activities include psychomotricity, music, painting, graphomotricity, nature, cooking workshops, cooperative games, and storytelling. Additionally, it is noted that it is a cardioprotected nursery and that its teachers are trained in first aid.
