Institut Sant Ramon

Institut Sant Ramon is a public secondary school located in Cardona. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP). To access a place in the vocational training program, the school manages enrollment through a virtual queue. Throughout the year, events are held such as the graduation ceremony for second-year Bachillerato and second-year vocational training students, and lists of applications for ESO and Bachillerato are published.

The school is supported by the Parents' Association (AFA), which collaborates on various initiatives. Among them, the AFA has funded an escape room activity for all students, chosen by vote from several proposals. Students participate in the Cangur tests, with the presence of secondary and Bachillerato students; in the Community Service of third-year ESO, which includes volunteering at the Sant Jaume nursing home; and in the Birds of the Garden project, where first and second-year students work on knowledge and conservation of birds. The ImproXou project is also carried out in third-year ESO, a proposal from the 4.0 mentoring program of the Department of Education and Vocational Training where narrative text and block programming are worked on, and students attend the REPLAY Audiovisual and Robotics Meeting, dedicated to audiovisual creativity, computational thinking, and robotics. Other activities include urban art workshops framed within the Flipart program, the celebration of Sant Jordi with theatrical performances, and outings such as visits to the Bank of Spain and the Barcelona Stock Exchange for first-year administrative management and economics students of Bachillerato.
