Escola Patrocini

Escola Patrocini is a public educational center in Cardona that provides early childhood education (second cycle) and primary education. The students are organized into three groups: the Colla de Menuts, which includes I3, I4, and I5; the Colla de Mitjans, consisting of first, second, and third grades; and the Colla de Grans, which brings together fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. The center offers a school lunch service and publishes information about school materials and the corresponding financial contributions for each group, as well as official documents of the center.

Regarding its digital presence, the school has a website featuring a photo collection, a virtual tour of its facilities, a virtual learning environment, and podcasts created by the Colla de Grans. Additionally, it maintains informative sections about the lunch service for each grade.

The center develops a line of work focused on health from childhood, aimed at acquiring healthy habits that reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease and improve the quality of life in adulthood. This work emphasizes healthy eating, physical activity, understanding how the body and heart function, and developing protective factors against addictions. The school has been participating in the Integral Health (SI!) program of the Fundació SHE since the 2008/2009 school year. It also holds health days coinciding with the walk organized by CAP Cardona in the first week of April, emphasizes healthy breakfasts with the recommendation that students bring fruit on Wednesdays, offers nutrition workshops for all cycles led by the Diputació de Barcelona, and has collaborated in the Foundation Gasol study on child health and sports.
