Grèvol

Escola Grèvol is a private educational center in Barcelona, owned by a cooperative society, offering Early Childhood Education (first cycle, 0-3, and second cycle, 3-6), Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). Its educational project revolves around education in values, cooperativism, environmentalism, satisfaction in a job well done, solidarity, teamwork, and the effort to progress, with the aim of preparing students for the future. The center operates in Catalan and English.

In the Early Childhood Education stage, the second cycle aims at the global development of children's abilities during their early years. Among its objectives are to forge an adequate self-esteem, establish bonds and new relationships, enhance personal autonomy, advance in the knowledge of their own body and its possibilities, and accompany the desire to learn. The cycle works with materials developed by the teachers, structured in blocks. The methodology is based on microspaces, with the classroom organized into various areas where children, distributed in small groups, carry out simultaneous activities of a cognitive, manipulative, and symbolic nature autonomously. It also includes a center for interest and experimentation with laboratory materials, the minimons — representations of real or imaginary worlds that invite symbolic play — afternoons of symbolic play, proposals for arts and crafts, and workshops on themes such as gardening, cooking, psychomotricity, and music.

The center has facilities adapted to new methodologies and student comforts. It offers services such as dining, childcare, after-school programs, camps, a swimming pool, and facility rentals, aimed at facilitating family reconciliation. It also provides school transport, early bird service, extended hours, and extracurricular activities.
