Escola Ignasi Iglésias

Escola Ignasi Iglésias is a public educational center for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona. It offers the first and second cycle of Early Childhood Education, with groups for I3, I4, and I5, and the Primary stage, organized into initial, middle, and upper cycles. The languages used at the center are Spanish and Catalan.

Among its facilities are a schoolyard, which the center dedicates a specific area to, and a library. The center has a School Council and its own documentation, and maintains sections about its history and the Gegants de l'Escola.

Regarding activities, all Primary students participate in Spiribol, a sport practiced in the yard that combines play and learning through cooperation. The cost of this activity goes towards the project of the same name, which collaborates with pediatric oncology care units. The center also celebrates Santa Cecília with musical activities: in the morning, students listen to and watch instrument demonstrations in the classrooms, and in the afternoon, a musical party is organized where families playing instruments participate, distributed across musical stations in different areas of the center. Additionally, the center holds open house days to showcase its educational project and natural environment.
