Llar D'infants Petit Kinder

Petit KINDER is a private early childhood school for the first cycle (0 to 3 years) located in the Gràcia district of Barcelona. It is defined as multilingual and follows the motto "Strong roots and a free spirit," offering an environment that seeks to make children feel at home in their first discoveries outside the home.

The center's methodology is based on five pillars. The first is contact with nature and outdoor play, taking advantage of a garden of over 300 m² with grass, plants, a sand and water area, symbolic play, tricycles and cars, a vegetable garden, and a log circuit to work on gross motor skills. The second is multilingualism: in P1 and P2 classes, the lead teachers communicate solely in English, while the rest of the staff does so in Spanish and Catalan; in the P0 room, the vehicular languages are Spanish and Catalan. Additionally, families can opt for one hour of German daily if at least seven families request it. The other three pillars are inspired by Montessori (promoting independence and autonomy with manipulative materials), Pikler (respecting individual rhythm and emotional stability, with specific materials like the bar arch), and Reggio Emilia (with a constructivist vision). The values guiding the project are respect for the learning pace, affection and trust, creativity through varied materials, and nature.

Regarding facilities and services, the center has spacious, bright, safe, and multifunctional rooms, a patio and garden of over 300 m², a school garden, a dining room with healthy menus made from organic and local foods, school transport, early bird service, extended hours, and extracurricular activities. The opening hours are from 8:00 to 18:00. It also offers services and activities for families, such as Petit Party and Petit Workshop.
