British Montessori (Británico)

British Montessori is a British foreign center located in Alpedrete, in the Sierra de Madrid, which presents itself as the only British school in that area. It is authorized by the Community of Madrid, so its studies are homologable with the Spanish educational system. It teaches the British curriculum at all stages, from early childhood education to high school, with the addition of Spanish language and culture. Its offer includes the first and second cycle of early childhood education, primary, ESO, and high school.

The center applies the Montessori methodology and philosophy in the early childhood stage and maintains its influence in later stages, primary, secondary, and high school, integrating it into the British study program. Students complete their studies with IGCSE and A level qualifications, issued by Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel, recognized for access to higher education in the UK, Spain, and other countries. The school is a partner of NABSS and is subject to the quality controls of British centers required by the British Council in Spain, in addition to being a recognized examination center by Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel. The study program sets flexible objectives that adapt to the needs of each student, both for those who present difficulties and for those with high abilities, and around the academic aspect, it develops a personal development program that works on values such as resilience, tolerance, coexistence, self-esteem, and leadership. It also offers guidance and academic support, curricular activities, international experiences, parent school, and summer camps.

Regarding languages, the center works with Spanish, English, and French. It has a dining room and a school route, and it features facilities that include a swimming pool, library, sports hall, football field, laboratory, computer room, school garden, gym, and playground. It also offers extracurricular activities.
