Seis De Diciembre

CEIP Seis de Diciembre is a public center for early childhood and primary education located in Alcobendas. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years). Its school hours, from October to May, are split: from 9:30 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 16:30, with a lunch service from 13:00 to 15:00. In September, June, and the last school day of December, an intensive schedule is applied from 9:30 to 13:30, with lunch from 13:30 to 15:30.

The center develops its own English Project, approved by the Madrid Department of Education, which began in the 2012 school year. This project includes a daily English session using methods from publishers employed in bilingual centers, as well as materials developed by specialist teachers to work on the four skills. Starting from the 2023/2024 school year, the subject of Plastic Arts is taught bilingually in 5th and 6th grade, with the possibility of extending to other grades depending on the availability of teachers with C1 level. The rest of the areas are taught in Spanish. Additionally, the center has a radio project and a technology and robotics area.

Among its facilities is a library, where open house days are held. The center has an AMPA, which organizes activities and informs families. In the admission process, it applies a complementary criterion of three points for students who have been enrolled in a local nursery school, have grandparents registered in Alcobendas, or reside on nearby streets or in the area of influence. For sixth-grade students, it maintains multiple affiliation with all the institutes in the locality.
