Pio Pio

La Escuela Infantil Pío Pío is a public early childhood education center located in Alcobendas and integrated into the public network of early childhood schools in the Community of Madrid. Its educational project aims to build a school where families and children feel part of it, generating an atmosphere of safety and trust. Play is the core of all activities, and free movement along with experiential learning constitute the pillars of day-to-day life. The center places importance on teamwork, both among families and educators as well as within the educational team itself.

The center has places for children from 4 months to 3 years old, distributed in baby classrooms, level 1-2, and level 2-3, with reserved spots for students with special educational needs. Most of the students reside in the neighborhood or their families work nearby. It offers a school cafeteria, understood as a mandatory and also educational service, aimed at acquiring eating habits, autonomy, and coexistence. It has extended hours in the morning, with breakfast included, and in the afternoon, with a snack, during which motor activities and songs are carried out alongside peers from other classrooms; there are discounts for large families.

The staff consists of 23 educators and one educator responsible for the English workshop, with a permanent position at the center, which allows for continuity in pedagogical projects and educational innovation. The center also has an Early Attention Team, made up of a counselor, a senior technician in social services, and a therapeutic support teacher, who advises the educational team, supports students, and guides families, attending to them on Wednesdays. The School Council is the representative body of the different sectors of the educational community.
