Miguel Hernandez

CEIP Miguel Hernández is a public center for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in Alcalá de Henares. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and the Primary stage. It organizes its activities in differentiated pavilions: Early Childhood students access their classroom directly through the playground doors, while Primary students enter through the usual doors and access their pavilions on their own. The center has a library, a space where informative meetings with families are held.

The school provides a cafeteria service, with the possibility of requesting a reduction in its price based on the family's socioeconomic situation. It also offers breakfast and an extended hours service in the afternoon. Classes start at 9:00 AM, and during the month of September, the summer schedule applies with dismissal at 1:00 PM and cafeteria until 3:00 PM, with extension until 4:00 PM for those who request it. The center provides families with textbooks through the ACCEDE program and has a book loan service, as well as information on breakfast scholarships and ACNEE scholarships. The center is a Preferred Center for students with ASD, reflecting its commitment to inclusion and support for these students, and promotes readings to raise awareness about ASD among the school community.

The center holds open house days to showcase its facilities and educational project, with childcare service provided by the parents' association during these events. The parents' association of the school (APA) organizes extracurricular activities from Monday to Friday starting at 4:00 PM and manages a bank of school t-shirts and tracksuits for exchange among families. Additionally, each term a general meeting is called with the families of each class to discuss content, objectives, and activities, and specific meetings with tutors are also held at the beginning of the school year for students starting Early Childhood at 3 years old and first grade of Primary.
