Espartales

CEIP Espartales is a public center in the Community of Madrid located in Alcalá de Henares. It offers Early Childhood Education in its two cycles and Primary Education, and it is a bilingual center. It is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is a preferred enrollment center for students with special educational needs and with ASD.

The center develops enrichment workshops for students with high abilities, which in recent years have materialized in a school radio workshop and in the production of a school newspaper. Among its projects are robotics, applied from Early Childhood Education to Primary with a teaching proposal for programming developed by the teaching staff; the Timbre Project, promoted from the area of Musical Language, which accompanies the entrances and exits of the center with pieces from different eras; and the Sociescuela program of the Community of Madrid, which is applied from the third grade of Primary to understand the social climate and coexistence in the classrooms. It also works on the Reading Plan, the library, and the school newspaper in a coordinated manner, and has the Dytective program for dyslexia.

The center is located on a large plot, with a variety of plant and tree species, which has allowed the installation of a nature classroom with the collaboration of the AMPA, used for activities such as reading or science outside the classroom.
