Virgen De Los Remedios

CPT Virgen de los Remedios is a trilingual public school in Colmenar Viejo. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years), Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years), and Compulsory Secondary Education (from 12 to 16 years). Among its languages of instruction are Spanish and English.

The center develops an innovative educational project. Its teaching team is committed to pedagogical innovation and works to enhance personal development, teamwork, and daily effort. Education is conceived as a shared challenge with families, who are welcomed, listened to, and attended to based on their needs. The center defines itself as open to the world, receptive to the participation of the entire community, and as a big family where everyone is important. Differences are considered an element that complements and enriches.

CPT Virgen de los Remedios is one of the few centers in the Community of Madrid that, in addition to being trilingual, participates in projects such as Educar para Ser and the Technological Plan with Chromebooks. It carries out a service-learning project called 'Intergeneraciones' (phase II Mentor Actúa Observa) together with the Adult Center of Colmenar Viejo. Among its activities are a route through Colmenar Viejo to learn about emblematic places and local commerce, a solidarity race, a summer reading plan, and a high-temperature plan with health recommendations. Early Childhood students have participated in musical proposals such as 'Singing with Mr. Pimiento' and in archaeology workshops. A recycling point has been installed in the classrooms of 5 years A and B. Additionally, within the LÓVA project, performances by the groups 'Las Tortugas Miniempresarias' and 'Blue Stars' have been presented. The center has a Snoezelen Room.
