Institut Joan Salvat I Papasseit

Institut Joan Salvat i Papasseit is a public secondary education center located in Barcelona, in the Barceloneta neighborhood, within the Ciutat Vella district. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with Spanish and Catalan as the languages of use. Its educational project is structured around the axes of coexistence, cooperation, and learning, incorporating cooperative work as a methodology. Among its subjects, literary creation is taught in Bachillerato, as well as physics and technology, which are also addressed through activities such as participation in Fisidabo.

The center has facilities that include a library, sports hall, athletics track, playground, common areas, and sports field. It offers a cafeteria service and extracurricular activities, including sports such as volleyball and basketball, and musical activities with a band and batucada. The association of families of the students (AFA) participates in the life of the center. In the digital realm, it uses platforms such as Moodle, Classroom, and a tutoring application for academic monitoring, as well as a YouTube channel. The center organizes outings and participates in cultural and sports activities with the environment, such as visits to museums, poetry recitals, and band meetings.
