San Lucas

CEIP San Lucas is a public school for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in Villanueva del Pardillo. It has over 35 years of experience and a stable, committed faculty that participates in continuous training. It develops its own project that includes an extension of English hours, the area of art in English, and the subject of Technology and Digital Resources aimed at improving learning. The center stands out for its family atmosphere and good coexistence, as well as for the involvement of families in the educational process of their children.

Regarding services, it offers extended hours with opening from 7:30 to 9:00, lunch from 14:00 to 16:00, and transportation, with morning service starting at 8:15. It also organizes extracurricular activities, excursions, and workshops. The facilities are spacious and equipped for different types of activities: the classrooms are large, with big windows and natural lighting, and the Early Childhood classrooms are located in a separate building, each with its own bathroom and a playground differentiated from that of Primary, which includes a sandbox, slide, and games. The Primary playground surrounds the school and has sand areas, ground games, and rotating sports fields. Common spaces include the Library, the Computer Lab, the Music Room, and the Art and Technology Room, as well as an indoor gym, two sports fields with restrooms and changing rooms, and a dining room in a separate building with a dining area and its own kitchen.

The center develops a digitization project with technological resources to work on students' digital competence: interactive digital whiteboards, computers, and internet connection in all classrooms, wifi in all areas, a mobile tablet classroom, a mobile Chromebook classroom, and a computer lab with workstations used in pairs. Sixth-grade students work on robotics with Lego materials within the subject of Technology and Robotics. Additionally, the center has a virtual classroom for Primary students and uses digital platforms authorized by the Community of Madrid. The faculty continuously trains in the use of technologies, platforms, resources, and teaching methodology associated with technological media.
