Escola Font De L'orpina

Escola Font de l'Orpina is a public school in Vacarisses that offers Early Childhood Education (I3, I4, and I5) and Primary Education, with initial, middle, and upper cycles. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and Catalan. The school provides a morning reception service, a school canteen, and extracurricular activities, and has a school library and its own spaces, including a large playground where collective artistic interventions have taken place.

In the pedagogical field, the school has an Educational Project, an Annual General Programming, the Organization and Functioning Rules, a Center Reading Plan, and a Digital Strategy, as well as an absenteeism protocol. It is also part of the Escola Verda program, linked to environmental education.

Throughout the school year, outings and excursions are organized, along with various celebrations. Notable events include the Santa Cecília festival, with instrumental workshops adapted to each level (the Cuina dels Sons for Early Childhood, Afro-Cuban instruments for the initial cycle, and handpans for the middle and upper cycles); the autumn festival; International Women's Day, featuring a reivindicative act by the Early Childhood children and a poster created by the delegates; and World Environment Day, with banners, land art, and a joint activity at the Font de l'Orpina, the same place where the school seeks the tió. The school also celebrates annual art exhibitions and commemorated its twentieth anniversary with the slogan "20 anys aprenent juntes," featuring a collective mural in the playground and a photographic exhibition on the transformation of the school.
