CPDEM SHAKESPEARE BRITISH SCHOOL

Shakespeare British School is a private British education center located in Telde, Gran Canaria. It caters to children aged 3 to 11 years. Its curriculum follows the British educational framework and combines the British language and culture with Spanish from the early stages, aiming for students to integrate into an international community. It began its activities in 2019 with Nursery and Reception (3 and 4 years) and has expanded courses up to Year 6 (10 and 11 years).

The educational project is organized into Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Primary. EYFS covers ages 3 to 5 and works on social, cognitive, and motor skills through a playful and structured approach that fosters creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence. Primary includes Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6), where basic skills, exploration of interests, social values, creativity, physical activity, and digital competencies are developed. The center has trained and experienced teachers and emphasizes personalized attention, small class sizes, and a close relationship with the teaching staff. Its comprehensive approach includes emotional, social, and physical well-being in addition to academic performance.

After school hours, the center offers extracurricular activities that complement students' education: judo, dance, and Aloha, an international mental calculation program that is worked with an abacus.
