Clara Campoamor

CEIP Clara Campoamor is a public school dependent on the Ministry of Education of the Community of Madrid, located in San Martín de la Vega. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle) and Primary Education, with Spanish as the language of instruction, and has a cafeteria service and extracurricular activities.

The center applies active methodologies in both stages and methodologies that respect the learning pace of the students. Work by corners and centers of interest is maintained throughout the entire schooling, and cooperative work and organization by zones are employed in all classrooms. Split classes are conducted to personalize teaching at all levels. In Primary, textbooks are used only in Mathematics and English, as an additional resource. The center promotes a flexible adaptation period and a respectful transition between Early Childhood and Primary: the work structure is the same in both stages, meetings are held between the teaching staff of both to facilitate the transfer of information, and the teachers who will teach first come down to meet the five-year-old students before the end of the school year.

Family participation is organized through quarterly workshops, at a minimum, and at other times such as Halloween, Christmas, or Family Day. Workshops are also organized to work on content such as Universal Children's Rights, the Constitution, International Women's Day, or World Book Day. The center develops a playground project that seeks to promote the participation of all students and has the Clara Campoamor Choir.
