CEIP LAS CARBONERAS

CEIP Las Carboneras is a public school located in Las Carboneras, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It offers the second cycle of early childhood education (ages 3 to 6) and primary education (ages 6 to 12). It is part of the CER Anaga, a grouping of rural schools in the Anaga area, along with CEIP Julián Rojas de Vera (Taganana), José Pérez Rodríguez (Igueste de San Andrés), Los Campitos, María Isabel Sarmiento (Valleseco), and Sor Florentina and Agustín Cabrera Díaz (Roque Negro).

Through this grouping, the school is linked to the plans and projects shared with the other schools in the CER Anaga, including the training plan "Trabajamos en Anaga" and the school radio project Tayda, for which the CER received diplomas. CER Anaga positions its work in the Anaga environment, a Biosphere Reserve, and presents itself as a commitment to rural schooling. In organizing the school year, the schools of CER Anaga share calendar and schedule criteria; at the start of the 2026-2027 school year, Las Carboneras and Roque Negro implemented an intensive schedule with class hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the first days, transitioning to the regular schedule afterwards.
