Conservatorio Superior De Castilla Y León

The Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León (COSCYL) is a public center for higher artistic education in music located in Salamanca. It offers a Bachelor's degree in Higher Artistic Education in Music, with specializations in Performance, Composition, Musicology, and Ethnomusicology, as well as a Master's degree in Artistic Education in Musical Performance, in the modalities of Soloist, Chamber Music, and Orchestra.

Access to both stages is through entrance exams, with differentiated enrollment for the Bachelor's and Master's degrees. In the case of the Bachelor's degree, the exams cover a wide range of instrumental specializations, including singing, harpsichord, double bass, bassoon, recorder, flute, oboe, trombone, horn, trumpet, viola, viola da gamba, violin, and cello, in addition to those corresponding to composition, musicology, and ethnomusicology. The center also provides information about scholarships and financial aid for students at post-compulsory levels.

Among its facilities is a library, with opening hours during the academic year and in September. The center organizes activities such as Musicological Research Days and open days, and publishes a calendar of events and news related to the entrance exams and academic life.
