Escola Sant Jordi

Escola Sant Jordi is a public educational center in Montmeló that provides early childhood and primary education. Its offerings include the first cycle of early childhood (0-3 years), the second cycle of early childhood (3-6 years), and the primary stage (6-12 years). The center organizes its groups into small, medium, and large sizes. It uses Spanish and Catalan as languages. Among its services, it has a cafeteria, extracurricular activities, and a midday space. Additionally, it has a family association (AFA) that collaborates with the center.

The educational project includes various activities and projects. The welcome classroom participates in a podcast program that gives voice to the students and allows them to practice the language. Projects are worked on regarding environmental care, such as collecting trash in the river and creating a video about water conservation, as well as recycling with the support of robots. The I5 students create recipes for natural fruit sweets. In first grade, a project is carried out to learn about the municipality. In the English area, sixth-grade students create recipes and present them orally. Literary creation is also encouraged with the support of new technologies, transforming creations into stories. In fifth grade, cooperatives are carried out. Other activities include a workshop on the consumption of icons, a visit to the Estació Jove to prepare for the transition to high school, and a visit from a former high-performance athlete student. The center participates in school programs for fruit and vegetables and milk.

The center organizes open house days to showcase its educational project and facilities, and publishes information about the academic calendar and the pre-registration process.
