Los Almendros

Los Almendros is a public educational center located in the Vicálvaro district of Madrid. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and the entire Primary Education stage, with Spanish as the vehicular language and English included in its offerings. It has a cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities.

The school day runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The cafeteria service operates from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and afterwards, extracurricular activities continue until 5:00 PM. The center also offers a morning reception service called "Los primeros del cole" from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Among the extracurricular activities, fencing is included. Materials and textbooks are available for the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and for the entire Primary stage. The center has a virtual classroom on the EducaMadrid platform, where teachers publish resources and content for each level, and uses EducaMadrid email as the main means of communication with families.

Regarding coexistence, the center applies regional regulations that limit the use of mobile phones during school hours and participates in the actions of the Regional Plan against Drugs of the Community of Madrid, which includes anonymous reporting boxes. It also develops the Anti-Bullying Free Zone program, with trained student mediators to intervene in conflict resolution among peers, and organizes a solidarity race.
