Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz School is a secular cooperative educational institution with sixty years of experience, located in Madrid. It offers Early Childhood Education for ages 3 to 5 and Primary Education for ages 6 to 12, with one class per grade and small groups: sixteen students in Early Childhood classrooms and twenty in Primary classrooms. The center also supports families in the transition of students to Secondary schools.

Its educational project is based on personalized learning, with work routes adapted to each student's profile and multiple intelligences, and on the PROGRENTIS methodology, which trains thinking skills and digital and attentional abilities. Emotional intelligence, cooperative learning, thinking routines and skills, and positive discipline are also emphasized, with teachers trained in the latter. The center is defined as bilingual and cooperative: its bicultural project CBC incorporates content from American and Anglo-Saxon culture with conversation assistants, while maintaining the mother culture as a priority. It features a 3D classroom (Diversity, Discovery, and Fun) to support students with different curricular levels from the Compensatory Education Program.

In the environmental field, it develops environmental action projects and has an ecological garden integrated into the Madrid City Council's School Gardens Network; it is part of the Educa en Eco network and promotes initiatives such as "More Tupper and Less Plastics." Active playgrounds are designed as learning spaces through play. Among its services are a cafeteria with a neuro-healthy menu and adapted diets, as well as extended hours and extracurricular activities. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and English, and the center is semi-private in the Early Childhood and Primary stages.
