San Juan Garcia

Colegio San Juan García is a semi-private school in Madrid, located in the Aluche neighborhood of the Latina district. It was established in 1977 to address the lack of school places in a working-class neighborhood and has since maintained a connection with its environment, promoting cultural and sports activities. It is part of the Fundación Santísima Trinidad (FEST) and is inspired by Christian faith and the Trinitarian charism, with its own pedagogical model shared by the foundation's centers.

It offers two educational stages, both subsidized by the Community of Madrid: Primary Education, for ages 6 to 12, organized into six courses divided into three cycles, and Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). In Primary, it works progressively with cooperative learning, the theory of multiple intelligences, problem-based learning (PBL), a culture of thinking, comprehension projects, learning landscapes, and interdisciplinary projects. The methodology is based on the interests of the students and combines individual work with cooperative work, with the student as the protagonist of their learning. The center bets on active methodologies and innovative strategies to enhance key competencies and academic and social development.

Among its services, the center offers a cafeteria from the first day of class until 3:30 PM, as well as school transportation, early riser service, and extracurricular activities. It has spaces such as the playground and the auditorium. It develops a pedagogical project, a pastoral project, and a solidarity project, in addition to a specific motto for each course, and offers complementary activities. The center defines itself as a project of living tradition, open to present and future challenges.
