Rufino Blanco

CEIP Rufino Blanco is a bilingual public school in the Community of Madrid located in the Chamberí district. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle) and Primary Education, with Spanish and English as languages. The school has a website on the EducaMadrid platform where it publishes content such as textbooks, information about scholarships for special educational needs, news under the name 'rufinoticias', and a Family School space aimed at the families of students.

The school has participated in the Educational Innovation Program since 2022, which involves teacher training and provision of materials. Within this program, it develops the 'Classroom of the Future' project, focused on the intensive use of new technologies in a specific classroom to enhance learning through experimentation, manipulation, and digitalization, as well as the development of digital competence. It also includes the Samsung Project, which provides the school with tablets and infrastructure for different groups and for the teachers involved, with support from the Ministry in the installation of connections and the monitoring of training. Programming and robotics are worked on in all courses, with teacher training in the subject of Technology, Programming, and Robotics and the use of platforms and resources such as Code Madrid and Lego Spike. Additionally, the school has equipment to launch school radio projects as a methodological tool.

Among the school's projects are PIE, Responsible Education, STARS, SOS, Orchestra, Mindfulness, and Rufihuerto. Regarding facilities, the school has several playgrounds, early childhood playgrounds, a pavilion, a garden, a scooter parking area, classrooms for Primary and Early Childhood Education, music classrooms, libraries, a dining room, a classroom of the future, and a teachers' room.
